1. The Foreign Ministry has published the “2016 Diplomatic White Paper,” which contains information on the international situation, the foreign policies and main diplomatic activities of the government of the Republic of Korea in 2015.

2. The 499-page, 7-chapter White Paper covers the international situation as well as the ROK government’s foreign policies; its efforts to maintain peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula; its global network; its capacity for economic cooperation; its role and standing in the international community; its services to the ROK nationals; and its effective system for implementing trustpolitik.

3. The White Paper has been uploaded at the Foreign Ministry website and will be distributed to major government agencies, universities, think tanks, public libraries and media outlets.

4. The White Paper is expected to help the ROK public better understand and win their support on the Foreign Ministry’s increasing diplomatic activities in the graver-than-ever diplomatic and security situation.
