1. The Preparatory Committee for the 2014 ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit will hold a launching ceremony of e-reporters on August 6 to expand participation in and communication about the Summit, to be held at BEXCO in Busan on December 11-12, 2014.

2. At the launching ceremony, 26 people, who have been selected through an open process since June, will be appointed as e-reporters. They will lead efforts to raise people’s awareness about the 2014 ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit.

o The e-reporters will bring news about the Summit and promote it among people around the world through online channels and offline activities, including online promotion via websites, SNS and blogs, as well as participation in events.

3. The launching of e-reporters will increase attention to and participation in the Summit at home and abroad. The e-reporters are expected to play the role of civilian diplomats in further enhancing cooperation and friendship between the ROK and ASEAN countries.
